Kevin Gates Wants A Restraining Order On His Parole Officer

by HHL JT

Kevin Gates got out of prison in January, after serving 9 months of a 30 months sentence for Felony Gun Possession.

The reason we haven't heard much from him since then is because he is under pretty strict probation.

Gates is looking to change that by getting temporary restraining order that would prohibit his parole officer from denying him permission to perform and continue his career.

According to Gates, his parole officer Ned Swartz has denied him all but two travel requests since he's gotten out. He's missed numerous money making opportunities because of it and he hasn't been cleared to attend the JMBLYA Festival and Rolling Loud in May, the BET Awards in June and the Common Ground Festival in July.

It will be interesting to see if this unique legal tactic works.
