In 2019, Kevin Gates prayed to lose weight.

"God please, let me lose this weight today. God. I don't want to be a fat rapper. I don't want to make it uncool for people to stay in shape and say stuff like 'they not fly' because they are fly. When you're fat and unhealthy it leads to being bitter and I don't want to be a fat bitter rapper. God, please, just let me lose all of this weight today, just let it magically fall off my back.  I wanna be slim and trim like a bicycle rim. Please, God," Gates prayed.

It worked.  Gates is svelte these days.

He commented on his multi-year transformation this morning.

Gates has said his motivation to lose weight was when a baby tried to suckle on his titty.

"What really did it for me, I had my shirt off and I was holdin' my patner's baby and his baby tried to suck on my breast," he said. "I was like, 'I am too f*cking fat. I'm a fat slob, I need to lose weight. That was the most embarrassing sh*t. I mean, sh*t, even though I'm a big gorilla, I still got feelings, too. Man, that sh*t hurt my f*ckin' feelings. I said, 'I got lose weight."

Good job, Gates.
