Kendrick Lamar's 'i' To Be The Theme Song For 2014-2015 NBA Season

by HHL Editors

Kendrick Lamar brought the house down performing at the NBA All-Star game last season. This year, K-Dot's association with the association is going to be even stronger. His track 'i' will be featured in the NBA/TNT TV promos for the 2014-2015 season.

You can view the ad on the NBA's website. In it, you see league stars like Lebron James and Dirk Nowitzki do their thing with Lamar's ode to self love playing in the background. Lamar also makes an appearance in the clip, mouthing the song's affirming lyrics.

In addition, Lamar will perform the song during the NBA/TNT concert that will help kick off the new season on Oct. 30.

Lamar says he is still trying to release the much anticipated follow up to his 2012 hit album good kid, m.A.A.d city by the end of the year. 'i', which dropped on September 23, is the first single from the album.

Between the Prince love and now the plum NBA/TNT placement, the still untitled project is getting a lot of great promotion.
