by HHL Editors

The 2015 MTV Video Music awards are going to be all about good buddies Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift.

Lamar snagged 13 nominations, tying 2010 Lady Gaga for the most ever. Four are as a lead artist, and nine are for being a feature.

Taylor Swift -- who had Lamar as a feature on her oft nominated Bad Blood video -- has nine nominations as a lead artist.

The show airs August 30th at 9 PM with Miley Cyrus hosting.
