Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole have teased a collaborative album for years. It hasn't materialized, but Kendrick and Cole still want to make this happen. There's just one current issue.
As you can imagine, the schedules of both artists are hectic. Being able to set aside the time to get in the studio and create together is quite a task. Kendrick talked about this challenge in an interview with Hot 97.
During the chat, he also discussed whether or not he views To Pimp A Butterfly as a classic album, the Tupac interview at the end of it, and advice he got from Prince.
K.Dot also revealed what TPAB's title means: it's a reference to how the record industry "pimps" out artists.
