Kendrick Lamar Defends Iggy Azalea's Right To Be Iggy Azalea

by HHL Editors

Kendrick Lamar covers this week's Billboard magazine and discussed Hip Hop's favorite whipping girl Iggy Azalea in its pages. The Good Kid, M.A.A.D City rapper joins Lupe Fiasco, YG and Iggy's mentor T.I. in coming out in defense of the Australian import.

"She's doing her thing," Lamar said. "Let her. People have to go through trials and tribulations to get where they at. Do your thing, continue to rock it, because obviously God wants you here."
Lamar also addressed  Good Kid, M.A.A.D City's loss to Macklemore's The Heist at last year's Grammys.  Lamar is on the record saying he didn't like the self-serving way Macklemore made public a text message he sent to Lamar apologizing for the win, but that's apparently water under the bridge.

"[Macklemore's] a genuine dude," Lamar told the mag. "I wish him much success."
