Kelis was pissed that Beyonce used a “Milkshake” "la la la" sample on her new track “Energy”.
So she lashed out at Beyonce and at the track's producers Pharrell and Chad Hugo (who she cruelly called a spineless amoeba.)
“My mind is blown too because the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding,” she commented on IG. “I heard about this the same way everyone else did . Nothing is ever as it seems , some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have everyone fooled ... It’s not a collab, it’s theft."
Beyonce has now dealt with the situation by removing the sample, which is no longer at the 1:40 mark of the "Energy" on streaming services.
No word from Kelis on the removal.
