It takes a lot of cash to support Kanye West's globe-trotting lifestyle. Perhaps more than today's shrinking music industry can provide.

According to Page Six, Kim Kardashian's hubby is making noise about leaving music behind and focusing on designing clothes and shoes because there is more money in fashion.

"After his next [collaboration] with Paul McCartney comes out, he’s going to step away from music and concentrate on clothing," Page Six was told by a Kanye insider.

West was a hit as a shoe designer with Nike, so much so that Adidas gave him a reported $15 million signing bonus to switch over to them.

But West's new Adidas line has been pushed back four times because he hasn't had enough time to work on it, perhaps fueling his desire to clear his plate of music and concentrate on fashion.
