Kanye Pushes Back Against Claim He Dropped Politics Because Yeezys Stopped Selling

Kanye dropped his Yeezy Mauve 700 shoe Saturday and the kicks didn't sell out immediately, as Yeezys tend to.

On Tuesday, Ye announced he was jumping off the Trump Train and leaving politics alone.

Coincidence? 

A lot of folks say these two things are related, and argue that Kanye dropped politics because he feared it was pushing away the hypebeasts who prop up his brand.

Not so, says Kanye's camp. 

Ye's peeps tell TMZ that the real reason the Yeezy Mauves didn't sell out is that the initial run was almost ten times bigger than they usually do.

They added that the Yeezy brand is worth billions and has been growing continuously.
