Kanye West made some news earlier this week by not showing up at the Met Gala, which is one of his favorite events.

His famous wife Kim Kardashian said it was because he was taking time off.

However, there were also ominous reports of 'Ye slipping into a paranoid state and staying inside with a bulletproof vest on because he feared for his life.

In a move which may be totally related or completely unrelated, West deleted both his Twitter and Instagram pages today.

Other reasons for Kanye leaving social media could be to hype his new line of children clothes, which dropped today. Or, better yet, he could be building up Turbo Grafx.

Or perhaps Ye's taking Logic's criticism of his political views to heart and entering a place of quite reflection.

Whatever it is, we hope he at least returns to Twitter, which has housed some of his most epic rants.
