Kanye West Says He 'Escaped From Calabasas' On New Album

by Daryl Nelson

Kanye West's new album Donda is expected to drop on Friday, although there's been no confirmation of that from the man himself.

There's been increasing talk about the LP ever since  Justin Laboy said the album is superb after Ye played it for him. There's also a rumor about Kanye addressing his divorce to Kim Kardashian on the song "Welcome to My Life."

"Tell the assassins I escaped from Calabasas," he supposedly raps on the cut.

Someone from The Sun talked about the song and mentioned how sad Kanye was after playing it at his listening party this past weekend.

"It’s a very deep, sad song about Kanye, with him reflecting on his marriage with Kim," said the insider. "He talks about the kids and mentions her taking everything. After he played this song he paused for like two minutes and cried. It was really somber.”

Are you excited about the possibility of Donda dropping?
