It turns out that those vintage looking photos of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian that were recently posted were taken during a very trying time for the couple.
According to a TMZ source, the pics were snapped at producer Rick Rubin's house, a little after Ye was released from the hospital for having a mental breakdown.
Rubin let the GOOD Music boss stay there off and on to recover. Kim, as well as their two kids North and Saint, joined Ye' at Rubin's place.
When the vintage looking pics first surfaced, some dissed the superstar couple and questioned why everything looked so run down.
"Did you have to rent someone's trap house for your family photo shoot," someone posted on Twitter. "God, you make me sick." "Stop acting poor to be vintage," someone else posted.
So much for Kim's return to social media going smoothly, huh?
