A lot of folks think Taylor Swift's been taking subliminal shots at Kanye West as she rolls out her new album Reputation. The two obviously haven't been the very best of friends since Ye's "I'm gonna let you finish" rant at the 2009 VMAs.
Then it was learned that the pop singer would be dropping her new album on Nov. 10, which is the 10th anniversary of Donda West's death, Ye's mom. So to throw a monkey wrench in the release, the rapper's fans plan to throw something called 'Hey Mama Day' and will try to keep Taylor's songs from going No. 1 when they first come out.
"Basically, we have the idea to repeatedly stream a singular Kanye song on that date. Hopefully, getting that song the No. 1 spot on daily streams over any of Taylor's songs," read a post. "We are focusing on a single song as it will be much easier to concentrate our efforts into that, than say a whole album getting to No. 1."According to Swift's team, the release date for Reputation is only a coincidence.
"It is standard practice that releases come out on Fridays, and we locked in this release date based on other Universal Music Group releases. There is no correlation," said someone from her camp.Do you believe that the release date for Reputation is only a coincidence, and do you think 'Hey Mama Day' will actually accomplish something?
