In his efforts to do things other than release Swish, Kanye West has reached a new low. (Or high.)

Over the weekend, 'Ye was in San Francisco, performing at a fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee and getting tips on running for President from Barack Obama. Then he surprisingly joined the Bay area artists and performers who were auditioning for American Idol.

West was playing to win: He rapped his hit 'Gold Digger', which names drops judge Jennifer Lopez. Will 'Ye be the next American Idol?
