Count Justin Timberlake among those who was impressed with actor/activist Jesse Williams speech at the BET Awards.

Williams touched on racism, police brutality, black empowerment and cultural appropriation after receiving BET's Humanitarian Award.

Journalist Ernest Owens wasn't feeling Timberlake making such a comment after Williams had put cultural appropriation on the table.

So does this mean you're going to stop appropriating our music and culture? And apologize to Janet too. #BETAwards https://t.co/0FwBOQR24D — Ernest Owens (@MrErnestOwens) June 27, 2016

JT -- an 8-time BET Awards nominee --- wasn't feeling Owens's feelings.

However, after certain segments of Twitter came for the former boy-bander, Timberlake changed his tune.

I forget this forum sometimes... I was truly inspired by @iJesseWilliams speech because I really do feel that we are all one... A human race

I apologize to anyone that felt I was out of turn. I have nothing but LOVE FOR YOU AND ALL OF US. --JT — Justin Timberlake (@jtimberlake) June 27, 2016

Owens still wasn't impressed.

Oh definitely. Interesting how he gave Twitter a wholesale General Dollar apology, but I guess his pride is hurt. https://t.co/tvsbCROKbC

What do you think? Was JT out of line, or are people too sensitive?
