Today is the 20 anniversary of 2Pac getting shot in Las Vegas.

What became a murder remains unsolved, as does the killing of Pac's rival Biggie Smalls six month later.

But don't worry, now Johnny Depp is on the case.

According to Screen Daily, the 53-year old old has signed on to star in in the movie Labyrinth, which is based on the book of the same name.

Depp will play Russell Poole, the late LA detective who investigated the murders of Pac and Big in the late 90s.

The film doesn't have a release date yet.
