John Legend Slams Lil Wayne, Lil Pump & Other Rappers For Endorsing Trump

by Daryl Nelson

Election Day in the United States is now upon us, and we'll soon know if the 46th president will be Donald Trump or Joe Biden.

A bunch of celebrities have given their endorsements in the eleventh hour of the campaign. Lil Wayne, for example, endorsed Trump, and Lil Pump spoke at his rally after endorsing him.

Meanwhile, people like 2 Chainz have given their support to Biden, and John Legend sang at one of his recent campaign rallies.

During that rally, the singer and piano player ripped people like Lil Wayne for endorsing Trump and said they've been tricked by him. [Jump to 2:50 mark].

"Now, some people see the meanness, the bullying, the selfishness of Donald Trump and they mistake it for strength, a kind of twisted masculinity,” Legend explained. “Some see his greed and they mistake it for being good at business. Some of your former favorite rappers have been taken in by these lies."

"I think they even founded a new supergroup, it’s called The Sunken Place," he added. "But Trump’s Platinum Plan for Black folks is nothing but fool’s gold, because you can’t bank on a word he says."

What do you think about Legend's point?
