Joey Bada$$ & Troy Ave Beef Over Who Hip Hop's Indie King Is

by HHL Editors

Troy Ave isn't the type to let disappointing album sales get him down. Despite all of the jokes about his debut album Major Without A Deal going "wood" or "plastic" or "garbage", Troy got on the radio Monday and inexplicably declared himself the biggest independent artist in Hip Hop.

Joey Bada$$ must have heard Troy's latest bluster. Because he got on Twitter and pointed out that his debut album B4.DA.$$ did more than ten times what Troy's did for opening weeks .

Reminder: Joey Bada$$ sold 57,000+ albums in his first week, INDEPENDENTLY... At 20 years old... $10/album... 85% of shares, do the math....

Since numbers were not on his side, Troy responded by questioning Joey's indie status:

NO single, NO party hosting's NO real endorsements Reminder: NObody cares + u WORK for Sony Red / Cinematic Records #FakeIndependent

We can only imagine how much Troy would be yapping if he actually moved some units.
