Joe Budden Goes Off On The Billy Ray Cyrus Slander

by HHL JT

On a recent episode of Joe Budden's show State Of The Culture, the gang discussed whether Billy Ray Cyrus has been pandering to a Hip Hop's audience now that his remix feature on Lil Nas X's all-time smash hit "Old Town Road" had made Miley's dad into a rap game player.

Joe Budden shut down the discussion real quick, bringing up how Billy Ray stepped up when country radio and the Billboard country charts refused to acknowledge Nas X.

"Pandering!? Nah, I'm not gon' let y'all do that," he sad. "We gotta stop that as black people. Take a sh*t or get off the toilet. The little n*gga put a record out. The message was, 'Hey, country won't let me in. The white people are white people-ing again'. So, it took for Billy Ray Cyrus ass to come and say, 'No, white people. Y'all gonna take this 'cause I'm on this motherf*cka and I'm country.' He stood up. So let's not do that now that the kid has gotten all of the accolades. Let's not even mention it!

What do you think? Has Billy Ray redeemed the Cryus name after Miley's awkward inroads into Hip Hop?
