Jermaine Dupri Disputes Funk Flex & Denies JAY-Z Told Him Not To Do NFL Deal

There's been a lot of misinformation involving JAY-Z's controversial partnership with the NFL.

For one, it doesn't look like the deal gave Hov an option to co-own a team, as had been widely reported.

Now Jermaine Dupri is disputing what Brian Michael Cox and Funk Flex have said about JAY telling Dupri to turn down a deal to help the NFL with their halftime show last season -- only to partner with the NFL on halftime shows months later.

“He and I never had a conversation where he told me, ‘don’t do what you’re doing.’ What our conversation was...‘you know what side I’m on, I understand what you’re doing.’ That’s what the conversation was,” Dupri told Big Tigger on Atlanta’s V103.

Duprie explained that his deal with the NFL was for a series of free shows held in Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park in the days before Super Bowl LIII and that everything with the NFL and Hov has been "blown out of proportion."

Funk Flex responded to Dupri's words by claiming the NFL and JAY-Z got to him.

"Hahahah! I love you Jermaine for life! NFL / ROCNATION applying that pressure for YOU to backpedal! (Body Language is everything) ITS WEDNESDAY BRUH? THIS HAPPENED MONDAY? ( I finally understand what Kap / Nessa been Experiencing! )," Flex typed.
