Jermaine Dupri Addresses Being Suge Knight's Real Target At Source Awards

During the 1995 Source Awards, Suge Knight notoriously went after Diddy.

“Any artist out there that wanna be an artist, stay a star, and won’t have to worry about the executive producer trying to be all in the videos, all on the records, dancing—come to Death Row,” Suge said from the stage.
Or so we thought he was going after Diddy. During a Drink Champs episode last year, Puff claimed that right after the Source Awards he talked to Suge and Knight told him that he was targetting Jermaine Dupri, not him.

Diddy wasn't sure he was buying it. Dupri was on Drink Champs this week and when they asked about maybe being the real target of Suge's decades-old rant, he certainly wasn't buying it.

"Y'all know better than that. I'm the guy that's been on the forefront of everybody movement. Me and Snoop was like this,” he said and crossed his fingers. “That's how Bow Wow came [to So So Def]. Me having beef with Death Row? Never. Suge was in my office, coming to Atlanta, kicking it."
Go to the 59-minute mark to hear Durpi on Suge and Puff.
