Jeff Sessions Takes Control Of "Carter V" and "Once Upon A Time In Shaolin"

Jeff Sessions is the Attorney General of the United States and possibly part elf.

It looks like he is also in control of the one-of-a-kind Wu-Tang Clan album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin and a leaked version of the still-unreleased Lil' Wayne album Tha Carter V.

We learned during Martin Shkreli's trial that he was forced to turn over those two albums, a painting by Pablo Picasso, and his $5 million in bail money to the Feds.

Forbes now reports that the United States Department of Justice has officially filed for both albums and that "the United States hereby gives notice of its intent to dispose of the forfeited property in such manner as the United States Attorney General may direct."

There's little doubt that Sessions and company will own the rights to Once Upon A Time in Shaolin, which Shkreli bought at an auction from Wu-Tang for $2 million. But the terms of Shkreli's deal with Wu-Tang state that if the album's ownership transfers the new owner still won't be able to sell it for 88 years from Shkreli's purchase date.

Carter V's status is even more tricky since Shkreli obtained the album for an undisclosed amount from a man who found a complete copy of the CD in a used Bugatti Wayne sold him.

That could set up the Jeff Sessions vs. Birdman legal battle the world has been waiting for.
