JAY-Z Pushes Back Against Haters Who Claim He Wouldn't Be Huge If Biggie Lived

When The Notorious B.I.G. was gunned down in Los Angeles it ended any chance The Commission, the supergroup involving Biggie, Jay-Z, Puff Daddy, Lance “Un” Rivera, Lil’ Cease, and Charlie Baltimore, would ever form.

Hov had prompted excitement about the collective when he rapped about it on his 1997 track "What's Beef."

25 years later JAY revisited the topic on Pusha T's new track "Wrist & Neck", making the argument that even if Big did live and there was a Commission he would still be the billionaire superstar he is today.

“They like, ‘If BIG was alive, Hov wouldn’t be in his position,'” JAY-Z raps on the track. “If BIG had survived, y’all would have got The Commission/Hov was gon’ always be Hov/It ’twas the universe will ’cause Allah said so, and now I’m here.”
