Jay Sean's Producers Say Cash Money Owes Them $1 Million

by HHL Editors

Jay Sean and Cash Money parted ways amicably last month. However, the producers of Jay's 2009 hit album All or Nothing want to see the record label in court, claiming they are owed $1 million in unpaid royalties.

In Orange Factory Music's lawsuit, they say had a deal with Cash Money to produce seven songs on the album, including the Lil Wayne featured hit 'Down.' The producers allege it was two years before they saw their first royalty check, and it was only for $211,000, a million less than what they were owed.

They say they have the contracts and royalty statements to prove that they should have received the additional money, and want to make clear they are going after Cash Money, not Jay Sean.

It's the second time in a week that we've heard about Birdman and a seven figure debt. On Friday, we got word that Baby  has over a million in construction liens on his $14.5 million Miami estate.

With Cash Money artists dominating the charts, Birdman should be well in the black. So maybe it's just a coincidence. But he wouldn't be the first high flying music mogul to go broke.
