It got lost in all the hysteria and uncertainty involving Kendrick Lamar's album, but TDE made another significant announcement over the weekend.
According to label's CEO Anthony "Top Dawg" Tiffith, Jay Rock's sophomore album is very much in play and is, in fact, "coming." To prove this point he also posted a screen shot of a folder of completed Jay Rock music.
TRUST ME @JAYROCK IS COMING...HES WORKING HIS ASS OFF 2 GIVE YALL HIS BEST...BE PATIENT #TDE pic.twitter.com/uyL3y4G8b3 — dangeroo kipawaa TDE (@dangerookipawaa) March 14, 2015
It's been almost four years since Rock's debut album Follow Me Home. In the past, TDE has said that Jay's second album would follow Ab-Soul's third effort. Now that Soul's project has seemingly been pushed back, does that mean Jay's comes first?
Time will tell.
