Ja Rule Says He And Fat Joe Cancelled R. Kelly

Ja Rule and Fat Joe have both successfully collaborated with R. Kelly.

But you didn't hear "Wonderful" or "We Thuggin" during the pairs recent Verzuz because Ja and Joe made a mutual decision to stay away from the problematic singer during their battle.

“That’s why we didn’t play no R. Kelly records that night,"Ja said of he and Joe's "tough" decision to cancel Kelly. “R. Kelly’s a flawed man, he’s going through his problems. He’s flawed. Nobody’s perfect… And, you know, what he’s done is what he’s done and he has to account [for it]. But the art, do we throw it away? … It’s such a touchy subject, and for me it’s a touchier subject.”

This afternoon, R Kelly was convicted of racketeering and sex trafficking in a federal court.  He faces life in prison so Ja and Joe's cancellation of him are the least of his problems.
