Ja Rule Remembers Queens Basketball Legend David Edwards Who Died Of Coronavirus

College basketball star and Queens high school legend David Edwards died of the Coronavirus earlier this week.

Ja Rule remembered Edwards on Instagram.

Damn this corona virus is serious taking the lives of ppl who would of lived many years with a great quality of life with these so called underlying conditions... I looked up to Dave as a ball player I wore #10 cause Dave wore 10 and was a lil nigga averaging 40 at Jackson high school," Ja type.

After graduating from Andrew Jackson High in Queens, Edwards took his talents to Georgetown.  The 5'9" point guard had a solid freshman year in 89-90, and then transferred to Texas A&M, where he became a star.

Edwards made the All-Southwest Conference team three times, owns the Texas A&M single-season record for assists with 265 and is one of only six players in Division 1 history to record a triple-double in back-to-back games
