J.U.S.T.I.C.E League Says Chance The Rapper Ripped Them Off

by HHL Editors

Chance The Rapper solidified his role as the champion of free music by "saving" SoundCloud.

However,  J.U.S.T.I.C.E League says there's more to the story.  The production team claims Chance keeps his costs low by ripping off producers.

Of course Chance wants to save the free music business model. That’s how he got on by NOT paying

The thing is @chancetherapper normalized the free business model. Don’t pay (or pay minimal) for creation, post on SC and not pay royalties https://t.co/9yfKp4fK1g

Chance fired back at the allegations and gave his side of the story.

This part is true. But the money I "owe" you, I paid to the actual producer who is suing you currently to get out of that slave deal. https://t.co/8Vl8fC3lJ7

This isn't the first time J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League have brought these allegations against Chance. Here they are last year:

. @flyinglotus is right. Y u think we aint been working with ur favorite rappers lately? I doubt that @chancetherapper even pays producers

The beat in question is from 'Cocoa Butter Kisses,' a track off Chance’s 2013 Acid Rap mixtape that was co-produced by Cam and Peter Cottontale.

What do you think of Chance vs. the producers?
