J. Prince Co-signs Argument That 2Pac Would Be Alive If He Signed With Rap-A-Lot

According to Outlawz member Napoleon, 2Pac almost signed with J. Prince and Rap-a-Lot records.

And if he had, Napoleon believes he wouldn't have been snuffed out in Vegas.

"It could have been Rap-A-Lot records because of the respect 2Pac had for J Prince," Napoleon said on The Art Of Dialogue when asked if Pac almost signed with the Houston outfit. "When Pac signed to Death Row he also was looking for a team.  He was looking for a home.  So it could have been Rap-A-Lot records because J. Prince loved Pac. I think Rap-A-Lot records back then was too slow for him.  Not in a disrespectful way, because they were selling millions of records, but the people in the South have a different laid-back mentality and J. Prince would probably be more like a big brother, saying 'don't' do this, don't do that, think.'  But Pac needed that excitement.  And Suge went with that ... If he would been on Rap-A-Lot he would been moving different."

Napoleon was then asked if Pac would have been shot to death after the Tyson fight if he was with Prince.

“Hypothetically, if Pac would have signed with J. Prince, that wouldn't have happened.  Me knowing the mentality of J. Prince, I don’t think he would’ve allowed Pac to run off and take off on people ... If ‘Pac was hypothetically on Rap-A-Lot, he would have been moving differently. Suge, West Coast, Suge had straight killers around him. These homies these was gang members, wild gang members. Suge had rhwm there for protection. The way J. Prince rolled, the way we saw that he has street dudes for protection, but he was trying to better their lives. That’s what the difference is. It seemed like Suge, all the dudes he had around — don’t get me wrong, Suge did a lot of good for people.  I hate to see people to kick in him when he was in jail.  But I think the mistake he did, he didn’t set his homies up right.”

J Prince liked what Napoleon had to say because he reposted it on IG.
