J. Cole Drops A Surprise New Single

by Daryl Nelson

J. Cole has been involved in the protests for George Floyd and the call to end police brutality.

He joined one of the marches in his hometown of Fayetteville, North Carolina and approved of the Minneapolis city council's decision to dismantle the city's police force.

The Roc Nation rapper's latest support of the protests comes in song form.

He released a new cut on Tuesday called "Snow On Tha Bluff," a title taken from a 2012 documentary about Curtis Snow, a stick up kid and drug dealer from Atlanta.

"N*ggas be thinking I’m deep / Intelligent fooled by college degree / My IQ is average / There’s a young lady out there she way smarter than me / I scrolled through her timeline in these wild times and I started to read / She mad at these crackers, she mad at these capitalists, mad at these murder police / She mad my n*ggas, she mad at our ignorance, she wear her heart on her sleeve / She mad at the celebrities, low key I’m assuming she talking 'bout me," spits Cole.
