Colombian singer and rapper J Balvin is in hot water after portraying Black women as dogs in the video for his song "Perra," featuring Dominican rapper Tokischa.

The video shows Black women walking on all fours, while Balvin holds a leash. Of course, a lot of folks came down on him for the video, including Columbia's Vice President and Chancellor Marta Lucia Ramirez, who called it racist and misogynistic.

“I want to say sorry to whomever felt offended, especially to the Black community,” Balvin said on Instagram. “That’s not who I am. I’m about tolerance, love, and inclusivity. I also like to support new artists, in this case, Tokischa, a woman who supports her people, her community, and also empowers women ...  As a form of respect, I removed the video eight days ago. But because the criticism continued, I’m here making a statement."

What do you think about the video?
