The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air may be rebooted.

NBC Universal, which owns the rights to the beloved sitcom, has filed trademark applications for the rights to The Fresh Princess for TV and for Fresh Princess merchandise like backpacks and footwear.

While the gender switch seems to preclude Will Smith's acting/rapping son Jaden from reprising his Dad's role, the boy is quite fond of wearing dresses.

And if they need a replacement for the late Uncle Phil  ...
