Earlier this week, Cardi B told a wild story about the LAPD investigating her for drug trafficking, which included a naked search.
Cardi said the incident freaked her out, and she plans to sue. But her team released a statement and said people misunderstood her claim.
"This IG live was taken out of context, and there is no truth to this story. Apologies for any confusion," one of her reps wrote in a statement.
But how can this be taken out of context?
"They had all the helicopters in L.A. I was freaking out," said Cardi while telling the story. "They had me outside for like three hours. They had me getting butt-naked outside ... I told them like, 'yo, I'm Cardi B. Like, do I look like I gotta sell some sh*t? ... They said somebody gave them a clue. I really feel like it was one of my opps and sh*t, like they really trying to ruin my life type sh*t."
The LAPD also denied any of this happened.
