Irv Gotti On Biggie Smalls Pitting JAY-Z Against 2Pac & Why Hov Would Have Turned on Big

by HHL JT

During an interview with Fat Joe, Irv Gotti explained how The Notorious B.I.G. skillfully used JAY-Z in his beef with 2Pac by putting him on his 1996 track "Brooklyn's Finest".

"That's why Pac was sh*tting on Jay, because of Brooklyn's Finest," Gotti explained and then quoted one of Biggie's bars on the track.'  "'If Fay' had twins, she'd probably have two Pacs (uh!) Get it? Tu... Pac's?'  And Jay's  on the record.  So now [Pac's] like f*ck you ...  and starts bombing on JAY.  So Big was a mastermind and involved this ill n*gga."

While Big and Jay were tight at the time, Gotti thinks they would have eventually had to fight for Brooklyn and beyond if Big had lived.

"And really, when Biggie and Pac died.  Speaking truthfully,  Jay, X, and Ja benefited the most.  If Big never died, I always say -- and this is my opinion not JAY's opinion -- I think Jay wouldn't have been able to play second fiddle ... Eventually, they would have danced."

Who wins that dance?
