Earlier this week, Rolling Stone exposed the practice of high-profile artists jacking up their streams through marketing firms.
Included in the article was a recording of G-Eazy's team speaking to a marketer who promised 200 million streams a month for about 40K. (There's no evidence they actually used the firm.)
In 2019, Iggy went on a Twitter rant in which she said her single "Sally Walker" was buried on Spotify because other artists were paying for fake spins.

Now she's taking a victory lap.
"Remember when the internet said I was making up that streaming has payola worse than radio," Iggy gloated.
Would Iggy still be on top if T.I. just played the game and paid for streams?
