Iggy Azalea Talks Cultural Appropriation Accusations, Says She Won't Change

by Daryl Nelson

Iggy Azalea recently responded to claims of cultural appropriation, which she's been accused of since coming on the scene.

"You could ask one person of the same race ‘Does this affect you?’ And they will say yes,” she told Cosmopolitan. "But another person will say no. They could be from the same place, same everything but have different perspectives about it. I’m still going to make the same type of music and still be ridiculous and larger than life. So I can’t be that f*cking sorry about it."

Iggy then sent a tweet after the interview was published and said some of her answers were applied to questions she wasn't asked.

I noticed in the article some of our conversation was attributed to subjects I wasn’t asked about/ intending to commenting on.

To clarify:
I was asked how I deal with hate.
My response? it’s easier to deal with when you consider art subjective/a matter of personal taste 🧡🤷‍♀️
