Ice T is a unique figure.

He's both an OG gangsta rapper and a TV cop.

One would think that combination would provide some protection from robbery.

But that wasn't the case when the 64-year old pulled into a New Jersey gas station.  Ice used Twitter to explain what went down.

"I was robbed at a gas station in NJ last night. After my hands stopped trembling..I managed to call the cops and they were quick to respond and calmed me down..... My money is gone.. the police asked me if I knew who did it..I said yes.. it was pump number 9,' T joked.

The average price of a regular gas in New Jersey is currently $4.20 a gallon.
