Ice Cube Confirms Another 'Friday' Movie And Its Title

By HHL Editors

Last month, John Witherspoon revealed that another Friday movie had been greenlit.

According to Witherspoon, who plays Ice Cube's character's dad in the franchise, he had run into Cube in the airport and he told him the good news.

Now we have confirmation from the man himself.

“We’re working on one right now. We’re gonna call it 'Last Friday',” revealed Cube during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
Friday was released in 1995, followed by Next Friday in 2000, and Friday After Next in 2002.

Ice Cube didn't address the elephant in the room, which is whether Chris Tucker would rejoin the franchise as Smokey.

Last year, Tucker said this about linking up with Ice Cube and company again.

“I don’t know if we can do another one,’ Tucker said. I don’t know if I could do another one because I was so young and it was a moment in time. But, we’ll see.”
So we guess there's a chance.
