There has long been a wild and unsubstantiated rumor that  "a rap to prison pipeline" was set up during a 1991 meeting of record executives and businessmen.

As the story goes, the record execs would push music that encouraged violence, and private prisons would reap the benefit of more inmates.

This week, Twitter user Atarah Israel alleged that Ice Cube, in his capacity as a member of N.W.A., was either involved in the meeting or was used as a template for the violent music the secret group wanted to promote.

Cube responded to the Tweet.

"Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one and they all stink! What evidence do you have to make a statement like that," Cube typed.

Do you think there is anything to these rumors?
