Hit-Boy responded to Kanye West going in on the music industry by letting people know that Ye cut him off for working with Beyonce. The West Coast producer has now explained why he revealed that piece of information and doesn't seem to regret it.
"I haven’t been a fan of Kanye on a personal/ human level since he told me face to face he stopped picking my beats because I worked with Beyoncé," wrote Hit-Boy earlier this week on Instagram. "This is after I produced 'n*ggas in paris,' 'clique,' and a myriad of other songs / projects for him and his label GOOD Music in the 2 years I was signed with them. This tweet is something I can agree with though."
Hit-Boy talked about that post while speaking to GQ.
"Just watching Kanye—obviously he always goes on these sporadic rants, but some of that stuff was resonating with me," he explained. "A lot of people on Twitter were like, 'Why even throw the Beyonce sh*t in there?' I'm going to tell you why. He on Twitter preaching, 'I love all my brothers and we need to stick together and all this sh*t.' But I feel like [he] put me in a position where I was battling the system and I was battling with my brothers."
"It would be different if Kanye was like, 'Your sh*t wack now, I'm not using you.' But n*gga, you telling me because you saw me working with somebody else that you're not going to pick my beats," added Hit-Boy.
Ye responded to the 'N*ggas in Paris' producer after he first shared news about the beef.
HI GUYS ... TRUST ME WE WILL NOT STOP ... HITBOY FIRST TO STAND UP ... I DIDN’T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH HIM PRODUCING FOR BEYONCÉ ... I HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE FACT HE WAS SIGNED TO ME AND I DIDN’T KNOW BUT I KNEW JAY AND BEYONCÉ AND HIT-BOY ... JUST FOR CLARITY— ye (@kanyewest) September 16, 2020
Do you agree with Hit-Boy's move to out Ye publicly and throw Beyoncé into it.
