Diddy isn't yet rap's first billionaire -- as he proclaimed and then retracted in February.

But he's getting close, thanks to a big 2017.

In fact, Forbes magazine has calculated that Puff is going to be the world's highest paid global celebrity in 2017, with earnings of $130 million.

Here are the wealth mag's top 10.

1. Diddy $130 million. 2. Beyonce $105 million 3. JK Rowlings $95 million

4. Drake $94 million 5. Christiano Ronaldo $93 million. 6. The Weeknd $92 million

7. Howard Stern $90 million 8. Coldplay $88 million 9. James Patterson (writer) $87 million 10. Lebron James $86 million

You can see the top 100 on Forbes' site.

Here is the methodology:

The Forbes global Celebrity 100 list ranks "front of the camera" stars around the globe using their pretax earnings from June 1, 2016 through June 1, 2017, before deducting fees for managers, lawyers and agents. Forbes figures are based on numbers from Nielsen, Pollstar and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry experts and many of the stars themselves. The result is the definitive index of who's making what in the global business of fame.
