Here's Who Bought Wu-Tang's 'Once Upon A Time In Shaolin' For Millions From Feds

Pharma douche Martin Shkreli bought the notorious one-off Wu-Tang album Once Upon A Time In Shaolin for $2 million.

He had to forfeit the album/art project to the Feds in 2018 as part of his sentence for security fraud, and then the government flipped the album for $4 million earlier this year.

We now know who to.

According to The New York Times, a collective called PleasrDAO forked out all of that cash.

The album is in a vault in NYC, and PleasrDAO will share it with the public if they get permission from RZA.  The album cannot be commercially sold for 100 years.

PleasrDAO describes itself as "an art collecting empire."

"In essence," they write about themselves on their website. "the DAO's modus operandi is to buy and fund culturally significant pieces and then create something fundamentally additive to the soul of the piece before sharing it back with the community."
