Here Are The Updated First Week Projections For Eminem's 'Kamikaze'

by HHL JT

Eminem's surprise album Kamikaze keeps gaining sales momentum.

Hits Daily Double has updated its first-week projections for Shady's tenth album to 290-330k  SPS, 155-170k traditional albums. That's up from an initial estimate of over 200K

That would be more than the 267K first week his last album, the much-reviled Revival, did.

It would also be the fifth biggest opening of the year, after Drake's Scorpion with 732K, Travis Scott's Astroworld with 537K, Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys with 461K and J. Cole's KOD with 397K.  And all of that without preorders or physical albums.

Since Kamikaze seems to be following the trajectory of Astroworld, which also got a quick projections upgrade, it wouldn't surprise us if Kamikaze's final first week numbers land above their current estimates.

Speaking of surprises, the only comparable surprise project this year was JAY-Z and Beyonce's Everything Is Love, which did 123K first week.
