Gucci Mane Declares He's Going Independent & Will Flood Market With Music

by HHL Editors

Gucci Mane hasn't been as prolific with the music as he once was.

In fact, he was releasing a lot more stuff when he was locked up.

Gucci jumped on Twitter today and said that's all going to change when the clock strikes 2018.

2018 I'm going 100 percent independent and dropping a mixtape every other day ‍♂️#MrDavisTheAlbum

Gucci is currently on Atlantic records, the same label that dropped him in 2013 after he went completely nuts and ultimately ended up in prison.

But today he seems to be suggesting that either that deal has run its course or he's going to take action to get out of it. Atlantic has a history of suppressing the output of artists like Waka Flocka and Lupe Fiasco.

Is a "mixtape every other day" Gucci a better Gucci?
