Four Minnesota police officers have been fired after the death of 46-year-old George Floyd.

Floyd died after one of the cops kept his knee on the 46-year old's neck as he moaned motionlessly.

Floyd's family and many in the Hip Hop community are calling for the officers to be charged with murder.

It turns out Floyd was a member of the Hip Hop community.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Floyd was a member of the late DJ Screw's legendary Houston Screwed Up Click in the 90s.

He rapped under the name Big Floyd.  Here's some of his work.

Floyd had moved from Houston to Minneapolis in 2018 to find work.  Basketball player Stephen Jackson, who's from Port Arthur, Texas, was good friends with Floyd.

"This is what I gotta wake up to, huh?" Jackson said, shaken by the news of Floyd's death. "This is what I gotta wake up to. Floyd was my brother, man. We called each other 'Twin,' bruh. Everybody know me and Floyd called each other 'Twin,'" he said.

"My brother was only out there in Minnesota, he was changing his life, he went to Minnesota, he was driving trucks. I just sent him two, three boxes of clothes. My boy was doing what he was supposed to do, man, and y'all go kill my brother, man. I'm on my way to Minnesota, man. Whatever I can do, can't let this ride, dog. Y'all not going to be mad until it hits you front door. Bull---t."

RIP.
