The Game Warns Cardinals Fans About Wearing Red In Los Angeles

If Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Cardinals today in St. Louis, forcing a game five in LA, it's going to tempting for any Southern California-based Redbird fan to snag a ticket for the game.

However, Compton-born rapper The Game has a warning for any St. Louis fan who might show up in town wearing a Cardinals uniform or hat.

"You know the Cardinals is red," Dr. Dre's protege told the TMZ cameras yesterday. "You get caught slippin' in the wrong hood, it might not be about baseball. It might be about baseball bats."

Of course, The Game is referring to the rivalry between the Bloods, who wear red, and the Crips, who wear blue. He was also notably wearing a bright red t-shirt in the clip, and it had nothing to do with him being a Cardinal fan.

In a notorious incident on opening day of 2011, a San Fransisco Giants fan suffered permanent brain damage after being beaten by two Dodger fans in the Dodger Stadium parking lot. There are no indications the attack was gang-related.
