Future's Former Bodyguard Shot And Killed

by HHL Editors

Yesterday afternoon, Michael Tanner Phillips, who had worked for Future as a bodyguard, was shot and killed in his own Jonesboro, Georgia townhouse

Phillips, 27, was recently married and his pregnant wife was in the house when he was killed. Police don't think she witnessed the shooting.

"Some of the neighbors heard some arguing and some gunshots. We are still interviewing them and trying to piece together what happened," Lt. Frank Thomas of the Clayton County Police Department said.

Future's rep said that Phillips hadn't been with the rapper since around 2011. Neighbors say he was recently working as an organist in a local church.

Future reacted to Phillips' death on Twitter.
