All those Instagram Live Versuz challenges have everyone measuring their hits against each other.

French Montana believes his hits measure up pretty well.

In fact, he thinks he's a step above Kendrick Lamar when it comes to dropping the kind of bops that the people pay real money to see.

“Honestly, you can put somebody like the #KendrickLamar next to me on the same stage at a festival. I might outshine him. Not because I’m a better rapper or whatever it is, it’s just I got more hits. Kendrick Lamar got albums..he got master pieces, but if you were to put us on the festival stage, I would outshine him because I have more hits than Kendrick Lamar.” - #FrenchMontana

Honestly, you can put somebody like the #KendrickLamar next to me on the same stage at a festival. I might outshine him. Not because I’m a better rapper or whatever it is, it’s just I got more hits. Kendrick Lamar got albums..he got masterpieces, but if you were to put us on the festival stage, I would outshine him because I have more hits than Kendrick Lamar," French claimed.

Is that something that you could agree with, or is French getting delusional under quarantine?

For what it's worth, it's not the first time French has shaded Kendrick.

In 2016, he claimed the industry was overly-promoting K.Dot to discredit "street rap."

“Because they position [Kendrick], like how they did at the Grammys, as the new music,” he said at the time. “I don’t feel like that’s… It’s not that it’s not the right thing to do, but I just feel like they… You see like the whole thing was like Kendrick night. That album don't sound like nothing that's out -- the whole Hip Hop game don't sound like that .. they put him on that platform so they can shift music toward that direction.”

"Each style of rap, whether it be street rap, conscious rap, trap, or anything else should be looked at equally as being Hip Hop," he continued. "All of these artists should be acknowledged, rather than singling out an individual, whether it be Kendrick or anyone else."
