This is a bit of a head-scratcher.
French Montana just did an interview with MTV Live, and during the chat he denied that Drake's verse on his track 'No Shopping' was directed at Joe Budden.
"I don’t have nothing to do with that one,” French said when asked about Drake's apparent diss of Budden. “I don’t think we did that record thinking about Joe Budden. I don’t think, I know that for a fact."While Budden does have a history of thinking bars that may not be directed at him are directed at him, Drake seems to be pretty explicitly targeting Budden in 'No Shopping'.
Sure he's doing the subliminal thing. But he also uses the lyrics of the track "Pump It Up" --- which Budden critics will gleefully point out is Joe's only real hit.
So it looks like French is messing with Budden here.
Will Joe respond?
