In 2014, Freddie Gibbs and Madlib did the collaborative album, Piñata. It went on to be one of the most celebrated releases that year, and fans hoped the pair would work together again. They are, as a sophomore album is now in the works.
During a sit-down with Red Bull Academy, Madlib casually let it out that the two are working on Bandana. He also said that since Kanye West waited too long to use the beats Mad sent him, Gibbs took a bunch of them for the project.
There's no release date or further information yet. Just the hype that this could be as good as, if not better than, their first album.
